Rifles and Shotguns

Still mucking about with the JC Higgins Model 20...

I've always been interested in the Greener Martini-action shotguns, so it was nice to finally check out and shoot one myself.

I have an LC Smnith 12-gauge that I am restoring but it's slow going. When this one came up at an attractive price I couldn't resist. Transcript

John Browning licensed his long-recoil shotgun patent to FN and Remington, and the Model 11 is Remington's version. The Sportsman is of that design but with some differences.

I have a lot of odd ideas of things to do with firearms, but this isn't one of them. It was inspired by a buddy's project.

There are more and varied videos in the works so this is to tide us all over until those happen. Work on this project is progressing, pretty nicely. I hope.

Here's an update on my modern Rook Rifle. Didn't go as well as I had hoped.

Contempt prior to investigation is never pretty, and I have been guilty as charged. Never too late to change though, and now I get it.

Working on adjusting the lighting on these videos so bear with me. Anyway, here's a lovely old shotgun that has been nicely refinished.

This is definitely in the running for being my silliest project yet, but I like it!

Thanks to the generosity of an old friend I have been able to bring an old, well used and no doubt well-loved shotgun back to life.
